Bioinformatician
What this job does:
Build and run bioinformatics workflows (NGS, multi-omics, single-cell, etc.), turn raw sequencing data into interpretable results, and maintain reproducible pipelines and infrastructure used by research or product teams. Similar to Computational Biology but more tool-oriented.
This job is similar to these lab/research tasks:
Pipelines: write and version analysis scripts, schedule batch jobs; QC: check controls, troubleshoot failed runs, validate sample metadata; Interpretation: differential analysis, pathway analysis, integrate omics; Infrastructure: manage storage, compute, containers;
Other: document SOPs, present results in lab meeting.
